Experiment on Work of Hydraulic Briquette Machine

During the process to optimize the briquetting work for mixers of coal and biomass, we can find out the optimal target value of biomass in coal briquettes when thermal value, compression strength and sulfur fixation efficiency respectively reach to the optimal values.

During the working process of hydraulic briquette machine, biomass mass can directly influence the indexes to evaluate coal briquettes. Meanwhile, the increase of biomass mass is good for the firing work of coal briquettes. Higher thermal value shows the using value. Higher compression strength is good for the long-distance transportation and storage of coal briquettes.

If sulfur fixation efficiency is higher in coal briquettes, discharge of sulfur oxide will decrease during the burning process. The optimizing problem that we discuss in this paper is to find out the optimal target values of molding pressure and biomass mass when thermal value, compressing strength and sulfur fixation efficiency of coal briquettes reach to the maximum.

Since dimensions for index of coal briquettes are different, we need to make the normalization for each dimension. According to the project standards of molding work and comprehensive performance of coal briquettes, we can further select the optimal target values from optimal solutions.

From the experimental data, we can find out that indexes of coal briquette change along with molding work situations. The compression strength of coal briquettes is much larger than that of pure lignite. This shows that biomass plays the role of adhesive during the working process of hydraulic briquetting machine.
